Privacy: Stereoscopic 3D Glasses Viewer

The app collects no personal data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and nothing you do in it leaves your Mac.

What stays on your Mac

Head tracking. The glasses' motion sensor is read over USB to turn the view as you move. The readings are used as they arrive and are not stored or sent anywhere.
Files you open. 3D models and videos are read from your Mac to show them on the glasses. The app remembers the last file you opened so it can open it again; it does not copy or upload files.
Windows you share. Big Screen shows a window you choose on the glasses, using macOS screen capture. The picture goes straight to the glasses and is never recorded, saved or sent.
Settings. Your preferences are kept in the app's own settings on your Mac, and the widget reads the app's status from there.
Diagnostic info. The app keeps a log file on your Mac. "Copy Diagnostic Info" puts a short report on your clipboard only when you choose it, so you can paste it into an email to me if you ask for help. It contains the app and macOS versions, settings and display details, not your files.

Network

The Mac App Store version makes no network connections. The version bought on this website checks once a day for a newer version by downloading a small public file (version.json) from jaysonlafrance.com; the request carries no identifiers, and you can turn it off in Settings. Like any web server, mine keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, the file requested) for a short time for security, and they are not used for anything else.

Buying the app

Purchases in the Mac App Store are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Purchases on this website are handled by Stripe as the merchant of record under Stripe's privacy policy; I receive the order details Stripe provides (such as your email address for the receipt) and use them only for the order and support.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
